Binary 112
Capricorn/Cancer
15-17½° Capricorn

10.4 (Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Cancer) is a blend of cardinal earth and cardinal water, integrating Capricorn’s aspiration, authority, commitment and integrity with Cancer’s sensitivity and nurturing qualities. Resonance with this combination provides a tough as well as tender nature, endowed with the capacity to draw, channel and give shape to the emotions of others, with a pragmatic interest for their well-being. 10.4 enhance deep connections with one’s roots and family, especially at a multidimensional level. This binary can be most resourceful and inspiring for people, tracing the collectice and ancestral itinerary of one’s life, beyond our personal history, while also bestowing pragmatic insights regarding our priority objectives and tasks in our physical life.

A key for this binary is exemplified by the qualities of Tenderness, Obedience and Integrity. Tenderness is a typical Cancer feature endorsing the way of nurturing and safety. This includes both the awareness of our own needs as well as those of others, taking actions that reveal the abundant generosity of the web of life, operating with care and kindness towards all parties involved. Obedience is a Capricorn quality emphasizing the will to pursue our deepest truth with discipline and determination. Integrity blends Capricorn and Cancer qualities, combining mother and father roles, as well as any polarity, into one harmonious whole.

The basic theme of this binary appears to be honourable nurturing and discipline in alignment with the web of life. This involves operating with expanded responsibility in consideration of ourselves, our children, as well as their children, the future generations and the entire planetary environment.

This is the binary of the Full Moon in Cancer.

FULL MOON in CANCER

The Full Moon is usually a vibrant and particularly stimulating moment, exposing the key ingredients of the dynamics between polarities, while also embracing the pinnacle of the fundamental wholeness existing beyond all apparent conflicts.

In the lunar cycle this sense of wholeness is particularly in force with the New Moon, when both Sun and Moon are conjunct. Hence the sign where the Sun and Moon were located at the initial New Moon, which in this case was Capricorn, set the rhythm of the entire cycle, reaching its climax on a Full Moon. In that moment whatever was conceived during the New Moon, strives for direct limelight and realization. Hence, this is the moment when you can confront and manifest the practical implications of the intentions set during the New Moon.

The Full Moon represents a climax of this unveiling, its essence taking form in our actions and life, in whatever we choose to do during the time of the Full Moon to express our true self, to allow it to be visible to the environment and others, while also inviting others and the environment to express their authentic nature.

The Full Moon will culminate when the Sun in Capricorn opposes the Moon in Cancer. The major features of this process will however be effective also at least one day before and after exact Full Moon.

Another key for this Full Moon is exemplified by the qualities of Tenderness, Obedience and Integrity. Tenderness is a typical Cancer feature endorsing the way of nurturing and safety. This includes both the awareness of our own needs as well as those of others, taking actions that reveal the abundant generosity of the web of life, operating with care and kindness towards others.

Obedience is a Capricorn quality emphasizing the will to pursue our deepest truth with responsibility. True obedience also encompasses the Art of Disobedience, as Osho puts it.

“Any idiot can be obedient, in fact only idiots can be obedient. The person of intelligence is bound to ask why? – “Why am I supposed to do it?” And, “Unless I know the reasons and the consequences of it, I am not going to be involved in it.” Then he is becoming responsible. Responsibility is not a game. It is one of the most authentic ways of living – dangerous too – but it does not mean disobedience for disobedience’s sake. That will be again idiotic.” (Osho)

Integrity blends Capricorn and Cancer qualities, combining mother and father roles, as well as any polarity, into one harmonious whole.

A theme for this Full Moon appears to be honourable nurturing and discipline in alignment with the web of life. This involves operating with expanded responsibility in consideration of ourselves, our children, as well as their children, the future generations and the entire planetary environment.

This implies in a nutshell, and as usual, finding out who we are and what we are doing here, and take any necessary action in this respect.

Astroshamanic Seal: a web circling a triangle.

Astroshamanic Binary Guidance: If you are trapped by the web of your personal life, be aware that there are many gaps in the web, more empty spaces than full ones. It is quite a difficult enterprise to continue to be trapped, unless you really want it. The teaching is patience and control. Acknowledge the whole web. Do not be confused by only one of its parts. Be detached and see the whole situation. Don’t allow anyone to pull your leg with their small stories, for you can see the whole greater story. Whether there is victory or defeat, they are always part of the vast story and do not mean much by themselves. The work involves undoing the web. This occurs when you develop the capacity to see the gaps.

Binary Celebrities:

Ramana Maharshi: Born on 30 December 1879 with Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Cancer and Ascendant in Libra (10.4.7), he is widely regarded as one of the greatest Indian saints. At age 16, he had an enlightening experience, which set the course of his life. He was suddenly overcome by the feeling that he was about to die. He lay down on the floor, made his body stiff, and held his breath. “My body is dead now,” he said to himself, “but I am still alive.” In a flood of spiritual awareness he realized he was spirit, not his body. As a result, he became spontaneously self-realized and decided to withdraw on the holy hill of Arunachala where he would remain for the rest of his life. For several years he abstained from talking, spending several hours each day in non-ordinary states of consciousness. When he began speaking again, people came to ask him questions, and he soon gained his reputation as a sage. Ramana Maharshi didn’t have a human guru (other than himself), yet he said that his guru was Arunachala, the holy mountain where he lived. His teachings were based on self-inquiry in which the seeker focuses continuous attention on the I-thought in order to find its source. In the beginning this requires effort, then eventually something deeper than the ego takes over and the mind dissolves in the heart centre. In other terms Ramana invites to return to the source from wherein all thought arises and ask ourself: “To whom is this thought? To whom has this anger arisen?” The answer would be obviously “To me”; after that, you then enquire as to “Who am I?”. Ramana Maharishi forbade answers like: “I-am-not-the-body, I-am-not-the-food-I-eat, I-am-not-the-brain etc. He would also suggest the question “Whence am I?” which some of his devotees regard as more relevant than “Who am I?”. In this way one traces the ‘I-Thought’ back to the source, which is what one may call the God or the Self. Another important mantra of Ramana’s is: “Stay in Silence.” Please find below some quotes:
Nearly all mankind is more or less unhappy because nearly all do not know the true Self. Real happiness abides in Self-knowledge alone. All else is fleeting. To know one’s Self is to be blissful always.
It is false to speak of realisation. What is there to realise? The real is as it is always. We are not creating anything new or achieving something which we did not have before. The illustration given in books is this. We dig a well and create a huge pit. The space in the pit or well has not been created by us. We have just removed the earth which was filling the space there. The space was there then and is also there now. Similarly we have simply to throw out all the age-long samskaras [innate tendencies] which are inside us. When all of them have been given up, the Self will shine alone.
…Bliss is not something to be got. On the other hand you are always Bliss. This desire [for Bliss] is born of the sense of incompleteness. To whom is this sense of incompleteness? Enquire. In deep sleep you were blissful. Now you are not so. What has interposed between that Bliss and this non-bliss? It is the ego. Seek its source and find you are Bliss.
Every living being longs always to be happy, untainted by sorrow; and everyone has the greatest love for himself, which is solely due to the fact that happiness is his real nature. Hence, in order to realize that inherent and untainted happiness, which indeed he daily experiences when the mind is subdued in deep sleep, it is essential that he should know himself. For obtaining such knowledge the inquiry ‘Who am I?’ in quest of the Self is the best means.”
Reality is simply the loss of ego. Destroy the ego by seeking its identity.  Because the ego is no entity it will automatically vanish and reality will shine forth by itself.
There is no greater mystery than this, that we keep seeking reality though in fact we are reality. We think that there is something hiding reality and that this must be destroyed before reality is gained. How ridiculous!   A day will dawn when you will laugh at all your past efforts.  That which will be the day you laugh is also here and now.

Janis Joplin: born in Texas on 19 January 1943 with Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Cancer and Ascendant in Aquarius, she is regarded as the greatest white female rock vocalist of the 1960s. Cheap Thrills, her first hit album was released in 1968 with the band Big Brother & the Holding Company, and topped the charts for eight weeks. Joplin’s life was full of excesses with drugs and alcohol. She died of an overdose at the age of 27 in 1970. Although her career was short, it left an outstanding Aquarian mark on the music scene, introducing unprecedented themes. Joplin’s most distinctive features were her powerful, rasping and over-tone rich voice, her exuberant and rebellious way of dressing (she was probably the first female performer wearing pants and appearing without any makeup), a public outrageous attitude combined with sense of humour and deep emotional expression.
Don’t compromise yourself. You’re all you’ve got

Binary Programme 1 – Pahekarubhe 1: 10.4, 020199

There is rain at the Rock of Quiumakai.
It is mud-spattered and slimy.
I ascend with lot of care.
Puddles are everywhere and my shoes get soaked.
I find a small water basin formed by a brook.
At its centre there is a large stone with a hollow on top.
The hollow is filled with water and this is the potion, which I drink.
I see a big spider coming from above.
She lands and then starts waving a large web.
She shows me the web in all its parts.
Then invite me to enter it.
I cautiously climb the net, then I pause and ask:
“What is the meaning of all this?”
“I am the so called Spider Woman and it is me who created all this.” S. replies.
“What is the purpose of all this?” I ask.
“It is meant to trap you”. S. replies.
“Is it really the purpose? Aren’t any deeper aims?” I ask.
“Trapping is a very deep activity. As you can see there are many gaps in the web. As a matter of fact there are more empty spaces than full ones. It follows that it is quite a difficult enterprise to continue to be trapped. The more you approach the centre of the web the more the gaps are narrow. First you release the most cumbersome loads in the periphery of the web, then you release the smaller ones.” S. replies.
“What is the meaning of the connection with 10.4?” I ask.
“Here the teaching is patience and control.
From here you can see the whole net.
You are not confused by only one of its parts.
Here you are detached and can see the whole situation.
You see the emotion, yet also the cunning underlying the emotion.
Here nobody can pull your leg with his petty stories because you can see the whole story.
Whether there is victory or defeat, they are always part of the vast web and do not mean much in itself.
The work involves undoing the web.
This occurs when you develop the capacity to see the gaps.
This is the net of the Paheka Rubhe.” S. replies.
Once I come back I ask for a blessing to the natal chart to hang in the office.
