This can be a time when we confront ourselves with whatever causes extremes in our life, on one side peaks of terror, pain, obscurity, on the other climaxes of ecstasy, joy and light.
There is a most subtle veil between the greatest pain and pleasure. We can be happy and experience pleasure in life by avoiding misery and whatever causes pain, which is surely legitimate. However, this strategy requires a lot of control and labour. It requires to be alert at all times so as to avoid pain. If we then realise that no matter what we do in the end pain will prevail, then the pleasure we get when we are not in pain is highly reduced. Of course, one can argue that you need to be in the here and now, living life in the present, and if this works for you, that’s great, and please go ahead.
The point is that for Scorpions this can seldom work. They can’t help seeing what dwells underneath. No matter if others don’t see anything, or how much they want to be in the present, a Scorpio will experience in the present what other people cannot see, what they hide. It follows that if a pleasure is aimed at hiding pain, Scorpio will see the pain. On the other hand if there is pain hiding pleasure, Scorpio will see pleasure. This situation can cause some problems when relating with such folks.
Scorpio relationships are basically hostage crisis. They mutually hold themselves as hostages. Here you either pay the ransom or die. The ransom involves letting go of all your masks, till you are totally naked, and even more till you get to the most hidden core.
The Scorpio in you, and everyone has it regardless of their signs of birth, will relentlessly keep hunting you until it bites you. If you allow yourself to be bitten by it, this may save time.
Here Scorpio comes as the grim reaper, dissolving the quiet routine of ordinary existence and unleashing shadowy elements in our life. These elements tend to shed light upon the inevitable loss or date of expiry of many things we take for granted in life, including the end of life itself, death.
The eyes of Scorpio can see you ceaselessly no matter where you hide.
“When confronted by our worst nightmares the choices are few: fight or flight. We hope to find the strength to stand against our fears, but sometimes, despite ourselves, we run. What if the nightmare gives chase? Where do we hide then?” (Heroes, Season 2. Episode 5)
