You are sad, and perhaps even desperate, because of his/her absence.
Yet, despite her/his absence, you cannot help being aware of his/her presence.
In the absence, which is also presence, a mystery is celebrated.
The first part of the mystery can be very sad and most desperate.
For you realise that there is no chance for the presence that preceded the absence to come back.
I don’t know how long the first part will last, yet you can rest assured that it will come to an end.
The presence, which you feel in the absence, will grow.
It will feed on the absence, till there is no absence left.
Then presence will be all there is.
