In the Astroshamanic Binary System Sun in Aries (1) and Moon in Leo (5) constitute Binary 1.5, or Binary number 5.
Sun in Aries and Moon in Leo blend Cardinal Fire and Fixed Fire, mixing Aries’s ardent spirit, courage and initiative with Leo’s generosity, warmth, creativity and leadership.
This binary motivates most inspiring and creative individuals, with the capacity of pursuing goals with enormous courage, confidence, integrity, enthusiasm and heroic attitudes. Their hearts are radiant, warm, active and generous.
Extremely focused, incisive and spontaneous, it easily holds a sense of deep and stable purpose, enabling to direct energies according to one’s will and generally managing to achieve desired objectives.
Expressive, straightforward, sharp, even forceful, it can operate as a natural leader and teacher, with the ability of inspiring others with integrity, enthusiasm and simply by being authentic.
The key for this binary is holding a clear and adamant Intention. Once this Intention is present the most fiery forces of the universe become available for it. If this Intent is unconscious or lacking in the subject, the power of the binary will be drawn to whoever has it, with the subject becoming merely a puppet.
Qualities: adventure, confidence, courage, creativity, devotion, enthusiasm, inspiration, integrity, leadership, optimism, playfulness, pride, straightforwardness, vitality
Grievances: bossiness, condescension, dominance, impulsiveness, romanticism, stubbornness, tyranny, vanity.
This is a 1.5 First Quarter Moon occurring when the Moon in Cancer, after being in a square (90°) with the Sun in Aries, moves in Leo in a trine (120°) with the Sun. The First Quarter encompasses the time when the Moon is from 90° to 134° ahead of the Sun in Aries. It begins with a square, as a 1.4 First Quarter Moon, while in its last third it develops as a trine, i.e. a 1.5 First Quarter Moon.
This phase can be very active and if the challenges of the square have worked out successfully can lead a major boost of supporting energy. This last part of the First Quarter generally brings an easy energy flow towards any Intention set on the preceding New Moon, as long as these intentions are still clear and have found expression during the preceding days. Less effort may be required to achieve results, with unexpected gifts and resources becoming available.
This is a time when we are confronted with the possibility to receive part of what was conceived during the New Moon, perhaps following challenges, obstacles or crisis, encountered during the preceding two third of the First Quarter.
At this stage the time is mature to operate with supporting forces and allowing them to work in accordance with one’s vision.
This First Quarter is cyclically related to the Spring Equinox and since in the case of a 1.4 First Quarter it takes place shortly after the Spring Equinox, all its features are extremely emphasized.
Astroshamanic Seal: a “C” pierced by a horizontal line. It was drawn by the Binary Totem Spirit, a huge giant, capable of touching the rays of the Sun with his hands, directing them wherever it wants. In order to do so, it holds a crystal clear Intention, which is one of healing. It uses the energy of the Sun. In order to use this energy an adamant Intention is required. Do you have such an Intention? If yes, then speak it out. Once the giant gets the Intent, it lifts its right hand, grabbing a sun ray, with which it draw the seal. This seal is intimately connected with Kurandah, the healing saint, whose seal is the fallen “M” pierced by the column of light.

Emil Cioran, born on 8 April 1911 in Romania, in the Transylvanian town of Rasinari, with Sun in Aries and Moon in Leo (1.5), died on 20 June 1995, Cioran was one of my most inspiring teachers. In my 20s I was particularly inspired by Cioran’s ecstatic pessimism, humourous nihilism, enlightened alienation, exalted boredom, blissful agony and sense of futility, which all coincided with my pragmatic experience of life. I had never met anyone providing such an authentic, genuine and honest description of life. For the first time I could sense an extreme resonance, realising that it was possible to translate non-ordinary experiences into ordinary language. Cioran spent most of his life in France where he wrote most of his works, such as Précis de décomposition (A Short History of Decay), La tentation d’exister (The Temptation to Exist), La chute dans le temps (The Fall into Time), Le mauvais démiurge (The New Gods), De l’inconvénient d’être né (The Trouble With Being Born), Écartelèment (Drawn and Quartered). I was first drawn to Cioran primarily because of the intriguing nature of his titles, which then became major milestones on my path. Unfortunately only very few of his works have been translated in English.
