10.2 (Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Taurus) integrates the Capricorn qualities with Taurus’s determination and pragmatism, giving shape to one of the most solid combinations. Folks aligned with this binary have an unbending intent, which they apply with resolute persistence until manifestation is accomplished. They are the archetypes of the strong manager or executive, firm, steadfast and relentless.
Capricorn and Taurus are in a trine aspect (120°), which produces an easy, balanced and mutually supporting link between the signs involved. This can bring major benefits when there is clarity of intent and focus. If this is not the case the benefits will develop unconsciously and gained by whoever holds a clear intention.
Two days after the First Quarter, the Moon is in trine, 120° angle to the Sun (Gibbous Moon). It is a receptive phase, a time of pause and rest when, unless there are other issues at work, things tend to glide in life. If you have productively used the energy of the previous phase, now you can gather the first fruits. It is not usually an ideal moment to act or force situations. It is a time of preparation aimed at reviewing past actions, considering information related to what was established at New Moon, and filtering all data. The question here is: “How can I put together all the different pieces of the puzzle? What needs to be refined or discarded?”

Carlos Castaneda: was born in Peru on 25 December 1925, with Sun and Jupiter in Capricorn, Moon and Ascendant in Taurus (10.2.2). This is a most earthy and solid triad, which explains Castaneda’s pragmatic attitude towards shamanic work is not surprising, as well as his dislike for the term “spiritual”. Castaneda is one of the major champions in bridging non-HAC into HAC, or, in Castaneda’s terms, nagual and tonal. This astounding capacity is proved by the superlative success of his books (selling more than 8 millions copies and translated in 17 languages) and tools. In his work he describes one’s own initiatory training with a Yaqui shaman named Don Juan. Castaneda kept himself out of the public eye and it is not clear whether or not his books are documented fact or entirely fiction. For Castaneda, the primary goal is the continuation of awareness after physical death, which requires discipline and procedures representing the way of the Warrior. These practices are aimed at maximising personal power, avoiding waste of energy (impeccability) and mastering awareness through the operative use of the assemblage point. According to Castaneda humans are glowing cocoons of awareness set in a universe described euphemistically as all-pervading filaments of light. Such cocoons are intersected throughout by these filaments, producing perception, but they filter our perceptions by concentrating on only a small bundle. The assemblage point is the focusing lens which draws from the emanations and produces the HAC. By shifting the assemblage point it is possible to perceive other realities, which are no less real that ordinary daily life. One of Castaneda’s final tools is Tensegrity, a series of meditative stretching and posing ttechniques. These tools, together with most of Castaneda’s ideas and views have caused major disputes and controversies.
A man of knowledge lives by acting, not by thinking about acting.
A path without a heart is never enjoyable. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy— it does not make a warrior work at liking it; it makes for a joyful journey; as long as a man follows it, he is one with it.
A warrior acts as if he knows what he is doing, when in effect he knows nothing.
A warrior considers himself already dead, so there is nothing to lose. The worst has already happened to him, therefore he’s clear and calm; judging him by his acts or by his words, one would never suspect that he has witnessed everything.
A warrior doesn’t know remorse for anything he has done, because to isolate one’s acts as being mean, or ugly, or evil is to place an unwarranted importance on the self.
A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That’s control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That’s abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions.
A warrior must cultivate the feeling that he has everything needed for the extravagant journey that is his life. What counts for a warrior is being alive. Life in itself is sufficient, self-explanatory and complete. Therefore, one may say without being presumptuous that the experience of experiences is being alive.
A warrior must learn to make every act count, since he is going to be here in this world for only a short while, in fact, too short for witnessing all the marvels of it.
A warrior takes responsibility for his acts, for the most trivial of acts. An average man acts out his thoughts, and never takes responsibility for what he does.
A warrior thinks of death when things become unclear. The idea of death is the only thing that tempers our spirit.
An average man is too concerned with liking people or with being liked himself. A warrior likes, that’s all. He likes whatever or whomever he wants, for the hell of it.
Anything is one of a million paths. Therefore, a warrior must always keep in mind that a path is only a path; if he feels that he should not follow it, he must not stay with it under any conditions. His decision to keep on that path or to leave it must be free of fear or ambition. He must look at every path closely and deliberately. There is a question that a warrior has to ask: ‘Does this path have a heart?’
Personal history must be constantly renewed by telling parents, relatives, and friends everything one does. On the other hand, for the warrior who has no personal history, no explanations are needed; nobody is angry or disillusioned with his acts. And above all, no one pins him down with their thoughts and their expectations.
The basic difference between an ordinary man and a warrior is that a warrior takes everything as a challenge, while an ordinary man takes everything as a blessing or a curse.
The most effective way to live is as a warrior. A warrior may worry and think before making any decision, but once he makes it, he goes his way, free from worries or thoughts; there will be a million other decisions still awaiting him. That’s the warrior’s way.
Whenever a warrior decides to do something, he must go all the way, but he must take responsibility for what he does. No matter what he does, he must know first why he is doing it, and then he must proceed with his actions without having doubts or remorse about them.
An immortal being has all the time in the world for doubts and bewilderment and fears. A warrior, on the other hand, cannot…because he knows for a fact that the totality of himself has but a little time on this earth.

In a preceding meeting with the Guide I had set the basis for a pact. Now the Guide takes me to Sector 10 to examine the conditions of the contract. I approach the summit of a high mountain that dominates the entire landscape. It is the Rock of Haxar, the mount of grounding, of giving form, of realisation, of the building process. There I see various characters. They have a serious air and seem to be much involved in what they do. They look at me heedlessly as if to say “Aha, you would like to establish a pact with us? We are the Kiteri. Be aware that we mean business. If you want to fool about, go somewhere else!”. I reply that I am ready to commit and be reliable. They underline the fact that my Guide has to be present and give authorisation. “As for the pact, all you have to do is to respect the conditions of the agreement. The realisation of the desired outcome will be dealt with by us. […]” I examine the conditions of the contract in all its details with my Guide. Then I call the Kiteri. Their austere and stern appearance, hides the vigour of their loving vibrations. I perceive their total commitment to serve me. Their way of surrendering is full of dignity and respect. They really mean what I say and I sense strong responsibility in making an agreement with them. They look at me as if they were saying: “Do you really mean it? Are you serious? Do you really want to work with us?” That’s what they communicate with their gaze. There my Intent is being boosted and as I confirm it I renew my contract and pact. I am ready to use you, my Intent is there. I am serious about it. I am not going to wander in other directions, my Intent is crystal clear, that is my way, we are going to build it, we have that project in operation which emanates from my Centre and no compromise is allowed. Then I meet the Totem Spirit. “My dear, I was waiting for you,” it says “you know how well you feel whenever you come here, this is your place, here you find your roots. This is what is to be done, the first priority. So, whenever you find yourself wondering what to do, remember: the first thing is coming here to your source and getting your real nourishment that you can then take out into the world. Your connection with us will then ground everywhere and expand. Manipulate whatever is necessary to achieve this. The pact is at work: insist on it and let your aim flourish. Be careful, grounded, determined to achieve, crystal clear and solid. Whenever you find situations of confusion, be a rock, the Rock of Haxar, which is the highest and most solid. You transform into it whenever there is confusion and weakness. You become rigid with your Intent, indestructible, like a fierce guardian of the temple, determined, no compromise. Be like that. In Sector 10 we are serious about our work, there is responsibility and commitment, this is our way and you made the pact with us. Be committed and responsible, do not give space to shallow behaviour, do not care about what others feel when you are like that: it is not your concern. Be expectant. Work is very easy. Have no other things in mind but your Intent. And by doing that, whatever comes into contact with you is going to be transformed by your Intent. Whatever you touch becomes Intent. Continue to climb, go on, climb in your dreams and waking times. Find joy and ecstasy out of climbing, celebrate that, enjoy the present moment, do not care about the goal as the Intent is dwelling within you. Remember: stay petrified when there is confusion, be a solid monument of the Intent when something is not working. Do that! Remember to use your Gift. Remember it! This is the great secret of Saturn which makes it powerful. If you attend your responsibility you can go on, otherwise you keep with my fearful image”. […]
Binary Programme 1 – Pahekarubhe 1: 10.2, 281298
In Quiumakai I climb the customary rock. I see a large stone upon which I settle. It is very solid and wide. It is like a foundation for the rock. The potion I receive is given in a very heavy stone bowl. I see many bricks piled up and ready to be used. I see all my dreams and the material to implement them at hand. A voice says:
“Go on. Be calm and detached. Avoid being involved in local disputes and employ all what you need to reach the goal. Be cold and detached, persevering with determination. This is the quality you receive with this binary.”
There are three bricks with a mark consisting of a five-pointed star.
“Move on and operate as a channel of what you build. Do not be confused by trifles. You are not operating for yourself simply because you are nothing. Stop saying you are expressing yourself. You are a channel of something huge and immense, and this something is you, yet not the “you” who wants to express itself. It is a you who is also “we” and “they”, and indeed the only “you” which exists.”
